My favourite place is Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro was the capital of Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city in Brazil, on the South Atlantic coast. Rio de Janeiro is famous for its breathtaking landscape, it’s laidback beach culture and it’s annual carnival. I like this place because The famous statue of Christ the Redeemer was in that place. This statue is a landmark of this city. It is located at the top of the Corcovado Mountain and is 713 metres high up in the Tijuca Forest National Park. The statue it’s 30 meters high and built overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro. Weighing approximately 700 tons. As well as sculpt the 38 meter high. The statue was built by a French artist, Paul Landowski, since the year 1921 until 1931. This statue is a symbol of Christianity, and became a symbol of city pride. This statue of an open hand which were widely seen as a sign of the warmth of the Brazilian population. Because it is situated on a mountain high enough, the tourists have to use a car or a special train pull the cord, to get to the location of the statue.There, they can see city of Rio de Janeiro, with its beautiful beaches. Neither, if I look at the statue I just feel like blessed by that statue. The point is I really want to go to Rio de Janeiro, so I can really got a bless from that statue.
